Being acidic like citrus fruits, it means it has a good potential for vitamin C and antioxidants, like many fruits, but especially for anthocyanins. This gives it anti-inflammatory and anti-cancer properties. The fruit contains crunchy black seeds surrounded by an orange pulp with a texture resembling jelly.
